1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Diagram2Code at diagram2code.com ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Diagram2Code is a free online tool that converts Mermaid ER and PlantUML entity-relationship diagrams into SQL DDL for PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, and Oracle 19c+. It is also available as a REST API.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. You agree not to:

Use the Service to generate harmful, malicious, or illegal content
Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the infrastructure
Send excessive automated requests (rate limiting applies)
Reverse-engineer the source code (except where open-sourced)

4. Generated Output

SQL output belongs to you. Use it freely in personal or commercial projects.

Important: Generated SQL is provided "as-is." You are responsible for reviewing and testing all output before running it against any database, especially production systems.

5. No Warranty

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of generated SQL, or uninterrupted operation.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Diagram2Code and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including data loss, business interruption, or damages from reliance on generated output.

7. Availability

We strive for 24/7 availability but do not guarantee uptime. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

8. Intellectual Property

The Diagram2Code name, logo, design, and code are property of their respective owners. Your diagrams and generated SQL remain your property.

9. Privacy

Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service uses the following third-party services:

Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics, subject to Google’s Privacy Policy
Ad networks — we display non-intrusive advertisements via contextual ad networks (e.g., Carbon Ads, EthicalAds). These networks serve ads based on page content and do not track you across sites.
Affiliate partners — some links on the site are affiliate links to third-party services. See section 11 below.

11. Advertising

The Service displays advertisements to support free operation. By using the Service, you acknowledge that:

Ads are served by third-party networks and are clearly labeled as “Sponsored”
We do not control the specific ads displayed and are not responsible for third-party ad content
Ads do not affect the functionality or output of the converter tool
You may use an ad blocker if you prefer not to see ads

12. Affiliate Links & Endorsements

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our tool’s functionality, recommendations, or generated output. We only link to products we believe are genuinely useful to developers.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator resides.
